Stormdoor is a family safety service for older adults. Forward any suspicious text, email screenshot, or phone number to your family's Stormdoor number and get a plain-English answer, checked by scam-detection technology and reviewed by a human: “This is a scam. Delete it.”
A family member enrolls Mom or Dad (with their consent) and they save the Stormdoor number as a contact. That's the whole setup.
A weird text, a screenshot of an email, a phone number that keeps calling — they text it to Stormdoor and get an instant acknowledgment.
Every submission is analyzed against known scam patterns and reviewed by a person before the verdict comes back in plain language: scam, be careful, or looks OK — with exactly what to do next.
Stormdoor sends text messages only to enrolled users, and only (a) one enrollment confirmation when a family member adds them with their consent, and (b) replies to messages the user sends to their Stormdoor number — an acknowledgment and one safety assessment per submission. No marketing or promotional messages, ever. Message frequency varies with your use. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel at any time. See our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions, and how enrollment and consent work. Mobile information is never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Stormdoor is built by a corporate security director who runs enterprise scam and phishing defense by day — and built this so the same protection reaches the people scammers target hardest: our parents. Currently in a private family pilot. Questions or interest? [email protected]
