Stormdoor is a family safety messaging program. Enrolled users forward suspicious text messages, screenshots, emails, or phone numbers to their Stormdoor number and receive reply messages containing a plain-language safety assessment (for example: scam warning, caution, or looks OK). Users may also receive a brief acknowledgment message confirming their submission is being checked. All conversations are initiated by the user; Stormdoor does not send marketing or promotional messages.
Users are enrolled by a family member on their account with the user's consent. By texting the Stormdoor number, you agree to receive reply messages as described above.
Message frequency varies with your use: you receive messages only in reply to messages you send, typically one to two replies per submission. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan.
Text STOP at any time to stop receiving messages from Stormdoor. After you send STOP, you will receive one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent. Text HELP for help, or contact [email protected].
Stormdoor assessments are advisory. We check for known scam patterns and apply careful judgment, but no service can identify every scam. Never share passwords, bank details, or Social Security numbers with anyone who contacts you, regardless of any assessment. If you believe you are the victim of fraud, contact your bank and local law enforcement.
