Stormdoor is a family safety service that checks suspicious text messages,
emails, and phone numbers for enrolled users. This policy describes what we
collect and how we use it.
What we collect
Enrollment information: the name and mobile number of each
enrolled family member, provided by the account holder with the member's consent.
Forwarded content: the suspicious messages, screenshots, and
phone numbers an enrolled user chooses to send to the Stormdoor number.
Service records: the safety assessment we returned and
when it was sent.
How we use it
Forwarded content is used for exactly one purpose: to analyze whether it is a
scam and reply with a safety assessment. Analysis is performed with the
assistance of an AI service under an agreement that does not permit the
provider to train on the data. Every assessment is reviewed by a human before
it is sent.
What we never do
We do not sell or share your information with third parties.
We do not use your information for marketing or advertising. No mobile
information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for
marketing or promotional purposes.
We do not read anything you don't explicitly forward to us — no access to
your messages, contacts, email, or accounts.
We never ask for bank logins, passwords, or Social Security numbers.
Retention
Forwarded message content is deleted within 30 days. Assessment records
(verdict, category, date) are retained to improve scam detection.
